My Policies

  • Deposit Policies
    1. Refund: The deposit is meant to secure your appointment in my schedule and that you
    will show up at the agreed upon date and time. The deposit is non-refundable.
    2. Timing: The deposit must be sent within 48 hours of the appointment being scheduled.
    3. Transferring/Rescheduling: A deposit is transferable to another appointment time if
    you reschedule with at least 48 hours notice. If giving less than 48 hours notice, a new
    deposit must be sent in order to reschedule and your initial deposit will not be refunded.
    4. Rescheduling: If you reschedule an appointment more than twice, even with 48 hours
    notice, your deposit will become non-transferable and a new deposit will be necessary to
    reschedule.
    5. Cancellation: If your appointment is canceled because you showed up late or in a
    condition unfit to be tattooed, your deposit will not be refunded.
    On the day of your appointment
    1. Preparation: It is important to eat/drink fluids before your appointment. You must
    arrive sober in order to be tattooed. If you arrive in a condition where you cannot receive
    a tattoo, your appointment will be canceled.
    2. Clothing: Keep in mind the location you are receiving your tattoo and try to wear
    appropriate clothes (ex: wear a black shirt if receiving an arm tattoo, shorts for leg
    tattoos, etc.). This is simply so I don’t ruin your clothes with ink.
    3. Time: Show up on time to the appointment. I am usually running right on schedule so it
    is not necessary to arrive early. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late without notice,
    your appointment will be canceled. If you give me notice that you are running behind,
    please show up within 30 minutes of your scheduled time. If you arrive more than 30
    minutes late, I may have to cancel your appointment.
    4. Location/Parking: Lighthouse studio is located at 4780 Wyandotte st e. Parking is
    available in the front on the street. Please follow rules posted on parking signs, I am not
    responsible for any parking violations.
    5. Payment: Payment can be made through either cash or etransfer to
    madisonpjyoung@gmail.com . Price is based on an hourly rate. If you are unsure of the
    rate, please reach out and ask me.
    6. Client comfort: My goal as an artist is to give you the best tattoo experience. If at any
    point you feel uncomfortable, feel free to ask for a break, some water, or a privacy
    curtain.
    7. Guests: You are more than welcome to bring guests to your appointment. Please note
    my section is on the smaller side so one to two guests is recommended. If you choose to
    bring a child please ensure that they will not disrupt the tattoo environment as well as be
    respectful towards all clients/artists.
    8. Numbing cream: Tattoos can be painful! If you prefer to use to numbing cream on the
    day of your appointment, feel free to.
    Design changes
    1. Design: In most cases, I will show you the design the day of. You are allowed to make
    minor changes when you see the design. I want you to love the tattoo! If your design is
    complex, I may send the design prior to the appointment.

  • 2. Sizing: If you change your design to something much smaller, or choose to get fewer
    tattoos, please give me at least 1 week notice. If you change the design idea completely
    within 1 week, your appointment may be canceled.
    3. Change of design: If you choose to change your idea to something else of a similar
    size/detail, please give me at least 48 hours notice.
    4. Accommodation: Please note, design changes are accommodated subject to
    availability. Based on my schedule for the day I may or may not be able to increase the
    size, amount of detail, or color of the tattoo.
    Touch Ups
    1. Non guaranteed tattoos: Even with perfect aftercare, hand/finger, foot, and face
    tattoos may not heal well. This is due to the placement; you are always washing your
    hands, wearing shoes, etc. A $20 touchup fee will be charged for tattoos in these
    placements. If you choose to change placement after reading this, please let me know.
    2. Touch ups: All other placements will receive one free touchup session within the year
    of receiving the tattoo. However, if fading to the tattoo is due to improper aftercare
    (picking at tattoo, sun exposure, etc.) you may be charged a touchup fee dependent on
    the size of the tattoo.
    These policies are set in place to protect both parties involved in the tattooing process. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the above policies, please reach out. Sending a deposit means you agree to the above terms. Looking forward to tattooing you!
